When I started Dogville almost five years ago, I wanted it to be more than just a business. I wanted Dogville to be a place that gave back to the dog owning community. One way that we have kept that promise is to become involved with the senior and special needs dogs that are a part of Boston Terrier and Short Nose Rescue of Oklahoma. Dogville is now a foster home to several special needs senior dogs, including two diabetics, one paralyzed dog, and two dogs with serious eye issues. Several dogs that have been under our care have been placed in wonderful permanent homes. While that is the goal for all of our fosters, it takes time to find the right home for special needs and senior dogs. Our commitment to each of them is to provide a loving place to stay and be loved and cared for until that home is found or they can live at Dogville forever.
