We found this interesting article by titled “Electronic Cigarette Toxicity: Popular “e-cigs” are a danger to pets.” From the article:

“From the Center for Disease Control (CDC): Most e-cigarettes are manufactured to look like conventional cigarettes, cigars, or pipes. Some resemble everyday items such as pens and USB memory sticks. Source

What Are the Problems with E-Cigs? Two problems: Nicotine content and battery.

The nicotine-based vaporizers may contain different amounts of nicotine, ranging up to 16 to 24 mg of nicotine per cartridge1. Whether from traditional tobacco products or vaporizers, nicotine is toxic.

E-cigs use a battery to create the vapor. If ingested, batteries can cause corrosive injury to the digestive tract.”
